With the temperature getting colder each week, what better way to settle in for the evening than with an elegant dry gin martini in front of the fire? I like to enjoy mine as a pre-dinner cocktail, a book or the latest copy of House Beautiful in hand, while my partner is busy cooking in the kitchen. You can create this tasty concoction with minimal ingredients and sip on it throughout the night – just make sure to pick a good-quality gin, like Ki No Bi Gin from Kyoto Distillery or Star of Bombay to start with.
Ingredients
70ml dry gin
15ml extra dry vermouth
olive, blueberry or dried orange slice
Method
Pour the gin and vermouth into a mixing glass with ice and stir until cold. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and finish with your choice of garnish.
